I cannot say enough good things about Michaela and Josh! The tl;dr version is up first for all you busy brides. Please read on below for my gushing but super honest review.
Photos...
: 5 stars. Unequivocally. I have gotten SO many compliments on these photos. They will capture you at your best. Your absolute best! If you're looking for photos with a lot of natural light and a "romantic" look, look no further. You will feel like you should be in a bridal magazine!
Personableness: 5 stars. Absolutely wonderful humans. You will want them to be your friends by the end of this! My wedding party also fell in love with Michaela and Josh!
Professionalism: 5 stars. Michaela is so so so organized and I just love how she runs her business. This is so key if you're planning your own wedding without a planner. She is honest and transparent.
Payment: She had a payment system so that it auto-deducted over 8-10 months. It was so nice not to have the traditional lump sum payment when all the other vendors are also asking for final payments.
After our venue, Michaela and Josh (Moose Studio) were the first vendors we booked. I was in Shanghai at the time when I interviewed them, so I stayed up until midnight and they woke up early at 6am to accommodate my schedule. Huge kudos and thanks to them for being so accommodating for just a client meet and greet. We talked for an hour and it went by so quickly, and honestly after the meeting, I just knew that they were going to be our photographers.
In the package that we chose, we got free engagement photos and I highly recommend getting your engagement photos done with your wedding photographer if you can! If you don't like their photos, or just don't vibe, there will still be time to change course. Thankfully, we didn't need that at all. Michaela made us feel so at ease; we have never taken professional photos before and we definitely needed to be put at ease. We were laughing throughout the whole day and truly had fun with it! Michaela sent out a cute little gift with a magazine she created herself (with gorgeous photos and chock full of tips like what to wear during the engagement shoot). Our photos turned out amazing. We even used two of them for our guestbooks at the wedding (we made them into puzzles that we framed and will display proudly wherever we live!) We have gotten so many compliments on them over the years.
Years? Yes, you read that right. OG Covid bride here! We were supposed to get married April 2020 but alas, the world had other plans. Michaela and Josh were so incredibly supportive throughout this whole process and made sure they were available for every postponed date. Finally, two postponements later, we JUST had our wedding. Michaela and Josh have such a fun vibe and are so positive and encouraging, and it was as if no time had passed. Like old friends, we picked up where we left off! They were honestly probably just as excited as we were to get married! Even though Michaela and Josh are super nice, Josh can turn on "stern mode" to help you corral the cats you otherwise call "wedding guests". It saved us a lot of extra waiting around.
I've gotten a few sneak peeks thus far, and the photos are once again GORGEOUS. Has someone casually asked if I'm actually a supermodel? Why yes. I can't wait for the whole album to drop soon!
Michaela and Josh are now travel wedding photographers as well, and my god, I can't wait to see all the beautiful new locales and couples they'll be photographing!
My husband and I loved working with Moose Studio during our wedding. They made taking wedding photos such a joyful and fun experience. We will forever be thankful to have such amaz...
ing photos to look back on years from now. Michaela and Josh are the perfect photo team. While one directs and takes more directed photos, the other is getting those perfect candid shots. We can’t stop looking at our photos, and want to show them off to everyone. We were also given their “photo catalog” or at least that’s what I’m referring to it as. It had photo examples, but most helped break down an awesome timeline, and gave details on what types of photos are what and why they may be important. It was a life saver when came to nailing down our day of timeline. They hadn’t been to our area before (Ogden, Utah) but had suggestions and a place picked out to head to get some shots of my husband and I. We loved working with them and would 110% recommend them to anyone getting married.

culously talented and above else genuinely amazing people. When hiring a photographer it is SO important that you feel 100% comfortable with them so that your true self is captured. With these two as your photographers you’ll never doubt your smile, your laughter and your confidence. I am so lucky to have vendors like them on my team. Trust me, you want them on your team as well <3

actually happen. I’m a planner and have worked with many photographers and I can truly say this team is wonderful.
Photos are very important (if not the most important) part of your wedding since it will one of the only things you have to look back on. Making sure you have photographers that not only care, but will go above and beyond to capture the perfect moments is crucial and these two do that & more!
I can’t wait to work with you two again!

diately knew I didn’t want to work with any other photographer. Michaela had a print out of all the names of family members I wanted photos with, she and Josh kept the pace moving but we didn’t feel rushed. They were mindful of our day of timeline and made sure everything we discussed was perfectly timed and taken care of. I could not have been happier with their thoughtfulness and talent!

the wedding day and the final pictures. Michaela and Josh exceeded all our expectations. They were compassionate, caring, detailed oriented, and all other qualities you would want your wedding photographers to have.
On the day of the wedding, they were able to take control and make sure everyone was on track so we were able to capture all the photos.
When the photos were finished, we were enamored by how amazing all of them were capturing so many amazing moments and creating lifelong memories.
Thanks you both for everything and highly recommended.

taking beautifully composed images, going through all of them, choosing the best ones, post-processing them, and creating a story out of them. I know all the work that goes behind this. You made my brother and his wife's vision come true. They're gorgeous together, their wedding was absolutely magical, and YOU captured that. I'm truly impressed with your work as a photographer. It's stunning, well thought out, creative, and elegant.

ore our wedding and they helped us find the perfect location and even had a few photos edited and finished for us in time to decorate our reception with photos from our bridal shoot. On the big day, they were very respectful of the church grounds and did such a good job capturing the classic formal photos everyone looks forward to, along with all the special little candids and intimate moments in between. They did such an amazing job focusing on what we were looking and hoping for and we were delighted to receive our full collection of wedding photos less than a month after our wedding. We absolutely adore our photos and have continually patted ourselves on the back for finding such perfect photographers to capture our wedding day! I highly recommend these two for your wedding day! They are amazing

ur engagement photos so I wanted perfection, they acceded my highest hopes!! In addition to their incredible talent they actually scouted out the location I originally thought I wanted and reached out to me to let me know that given the season the area looked rather dried out. Then they took it a step further and provided a few suggestions similar to location I wanted. I could not have been more pleased and appreciative of their thoughtfulness and professionalism. I highly recommend Moose Studios for whatever occasion you are celebrating.
For me and my fiance, like many other couples, the quality of our wedding photos is one of our highest priorities. I spent hours looking at different photographer's websites trying...
to find a photographer whose style and quality matched what we had envisioned. When I found Moose Studio, I knew I found the one! Michaela and Josh are incredibly professionally, and have thought of everything--and the photos they deliver are gorgeous. We just had our engagement session with them last month, and got our edited photos within two weeks! They turned out beautifully. Our wedding is in August and we cannot wait to see how our photos for the big day turn out!

had this feeling they were the ones. They make a great team together and they really are so talented in what they do. They are extremely professional, organized, detailed oriented, thoughtful and so darn sweet. They have made us feel so special through out the process so far which really adds that extra touch. We just had our engagement shoot a few weeks ago and we had such a great time with them. It was my first photo shoot and I was really nervous but Josh and Micaela made us feel so comfortable and guided us every step of the way. The picture quality is amazing and the pictures turned out beautiful!! I can't wait for the big day in November with them. Highly recommend, you will NOT regret it!
Josh and Michaela are the best! They have hiked up mountains with us and traveled to Utah (Zion and Bryce) to capture some of the most incredible pictures of my fiancé and I! They ...
are probably the sweetest people I have ever met and spending time with them is always such a natural and fun experience. I recommend Moose Studio to anyone looking to get some epic pictures in nature!!
We are SOOOO lucky to have Josh and Michaela as our wedding photographers. Their expertise and talent and attentiveness have floored us! My fiancé is a director of photography, ...
and said no to a number of photographers I ran past him. We wanted well composed, well lit, photos by someone who knew how to capture such an intimate occasion. We wanted photographers who knew how to tell a story—tell our story. Timeless and impeccable. And we found it! They were our first vendor to book (and I think, the most important one) and from the very first email we exchanged, then phone-call, then engagement session, and on, they made us feel taken care of, heard, attended to, important. Our engagement photos are the engagement photos I’ve dreamed of!! And I cannot wait to see all the sweet, beautiful, fun moments I know they will capture on the big day!! (And they are so fun to be around!) I trust our most special day to them completely!
I am still very amazed with all of the beautiful moments that MOOSE STUDIO captured during our wedding day!
Michaela and josh were on point with everything during our special day!...
They captured every little detail and our photographs turned out exactly how I envisioned them! This was the first time that my husband and I have ever been professionally photographed and they surpassed all of our expectations.
I felt like one of their top priorities was making sure that we felt comfortable throughout the whole process. It was such an amazing experience!
My favorite part was our FIRST LOOK session. It was such an emotional and intimate moment and they captured every single minute of it! We felt so comfortable around them! My husband and I loved how they would compliment us and guide us throughout out the whole process.
Michaela and josh are very easy going and a pleasure to work with. They make such a great team. They were very organized and were well aware of our schedule throughout the day. On top of being amazing human beings they are a pair of very talented photographers.
We cant thank them enough for capturing all of the meaningful moments on our special day!
Go Michaela and Josh!!!!
When I checked out Moose Studio's website and read the biographies of Michaela and Josh, I had a feeling that these were the photographers for us! We feel so lucky that we snagged ...
them for our upcoming June wedding. We just wrapped up the engagement shoot and it was phenomenal. Not only was it really fun (not to mention Michaela gives LOTS of compliments so you feel awesome!), but they were both relaxing to be around. It made the whole day stress-free. We also just received all of our photos from the day and I'm astounded. They are perfect. We woke up today and felt like it was Christmas morning! And Charlie, my fiance, and I are having an extremely difficult time picking our favorites. They are all so spectacular.
OH! And I should probably mention: the additional personal touches that they include throughout this whole process is SO cool. They send across little quizzes to help us decide on details AND lots of advice. I feel like I would have been extremely lost without them. 5 stars doesn't even justify this experience. I rate 10 stars :)
Moose Studio is a duo that are such a pleasure to work with and to have around. They did an amazing job capturing the essence and the specifics of my engagement and my wedding day....
They have creative ideas on photo styling and get the spontaneous shots you want to remember. Their photos will not disappoint and are worthy of framing and cherishing forever.
My review is about Moose Studios ( Michaela and Joshua).
When my daughter had a destination wedding in Kelowna, BC Canada, Where i live. Michaela and Josh had come to the rescue ...
and agreed to be the photographers at her wedding. We had the wedding at the SummerHill Winery, Kelowna, BC.
The first thing Michaela did was sit down with my daughter and plan the day, and found out exactly what it was that was very important for her in regards to capturing the day.
Well, i think Michaela and Josh went above and beyond even my expectations.
First thing in the morning they both showed up at my house cameras in hand and took the dress, shoes and rings and went into my back yard and took the most amazing photos of the dress hanging on our fence, and then the rings on some rocks, shoes, brides maid dresses and of course my granddaughters dress. All i could think is " Wow, how beautiful those are". We did have a ruff start to the day, the clouds started rolling in and the clouds opened up and poured on us. Michaela and Josh kept my daughter calm and secure. They took pictures of all the attendees and then a lot of the family while we waited for the rain and Hail to stop. They had scouted out the property the day before and knew where the best photos would be taken.
When the photos were done, Michaela and Josh had put together the most amazing book that sat flat.
When and if any of my other children ever get married i will beg and plead for them to come back up to Canada to be the Photographers again in a heart beat. I was so impressed with their professionalism and very keen eye capturing the best out of everyone.

I had never done professional photos before and they really made the process fun and easy. Not only that but they captured our true personalities. Neither of us are real big romantics, we're very goofy together and they were able to capture that in our photo session. The photos are gorgeous and I can't wait to have them back for our wedding in October!
If you have any ideas of photos you want to take they are very happy to do exactly what you want!
I loved having Moose Studio shoot my engagement! They are so kind and thoughtful, easy to work with, and have great energy. We felt really comfortable and had fun! They had unique ...
