As visual storytellers, our goal is to photograph moments that will make you remember how it felt on your wedding day. We don't take for granted that you are trusting us with one of the most important days of your life. We will offer gentle guidance for posing, but our main focus is to document the day as it authentically unfolds. You can expect the most luxurious experience from us so that one day you can share all about it with your children and grandchildren. I cannot say enough good things about Michaela and Josh! The tl;dr version is up first for all you busy brides. Please read on below for my gushing but super honest review.

: 5 stars. Unequivocally. I have gotten SO many compliments on these photos. They will capture you at your best. Your absolute best! If you're looking for photos with a lot of natural light and a "romantic" look, look no further. You will feel like you should be in a bridal magazine!
Personableness: 5 stars. Absolutely wonderful humans. You will want them to be your friends by the end of this! My wedding party also fell in love with Michaela and Josh!
Professionalism: 5 stars. Michaela is so so so organized and I just love how she runs her business. This is so key if you're planning your own wedding without a planner. She is honest and transparent.
Payment: She had a payment system so that it auto-deducted over 8-10 months. It was so nice not to have the traditional lump sum payment when all the other vendors are also asking for final payments.
After our venue, Michaela and Josh (Moose Studio) were the first vendors we booked. I was in Shanghai at the time when I interviewed them, so I stayed up until midnight and they woke up early at 6am to accommodate my schedule. Huge kudos and thanks to them for being so accommodating for just a client meet and greet. We talked for an hour and it went by so quickly, and honestly after the meeting, I just knew that they were going to be our photographers.
In the package that we chose, we got free engagement photos and I highly recommend getting your engagement photos done with your wedding photographer if you can! If you don't like their photos, or just don't vibe, there will still be time to change course. Thankfully, we didn't need that at all. Michaela made us feel so at ease; we have never taken professional photos before and we definitely needed to be put at ease. We were laughing throughout the whole day and truly had fun with it! Michaela sent out a cute little gift with a magazine she created herself (with gorgeous photos and chock full of tips like what to wear during the engagement shoot). Our photos turned out amazing. We even used two of them for our guestbooks at the wedding (we made them into puzzles that we framed and will display proudly wherever we live!) We have gotten so many compliments on them over the years.
Years? Yes, you read that right. OG Covid bride here! We were supposed to get married April 2020 but alas, the world had other plans. Michaela and Josh were so incredibly supportive throughout this whole process and made sure they were available for every postponed date. Finally, two postponements later, we JUST had our wedding. Michaela and Josh have such a fun vibe and are so positive and encouraging, and it was as if no time had passed. Like old friends, we picked up where we left off! They were honestly probably just as excited as we were to get married! Even though Michaela and Josh are super nice, Josh can turn on "stern mode" to help you corral the cats you otherwise call "wedding guests". It saved us a lot of extra waiting around.
I've gotten a few sneak peeks thus far, and the photos are once again GORGEOUS. Has someone casually asked if I'm actually a supermodel? Why yes. I can't wait for the whole album to drop soon!
Michaela and Josh are now travel wedding photographers as well, and my god, I can't wait to see all the beautiful new locales and couples they'll be photographing!

ing photos to look back on years from now. Michaela and Josh are the perfect photo team. While one directs and takes more directed photos, the other is getting those perfect candid shots. We can’t stop looking at our photos, and want to show them off to everyone. We were also given their “photo catalog” or at least that’s what I’m referring to it as. It had photo examples, but most helped break down an awesome timeline, and gave details on what types of photos are what and why they may be important. It was a life saver when came to nailing down our day of timeline. They hadn’t been to our area before (Ogden, Utah) but had suggestions and a place picked out to head to get some shots of my husband and I. We loved working with them and would 110% recommend them to anyone getting married.

On the big day, they were very respectful of the church grounds and did such a good job capturing the classic formal photos everyone looks forward to, along with all the special little candids and intimate moments in between. had this feeling they were the ones. They make a great team together and they really are so talented in what they do. They were our first vendor to book (and I think, the most important one) and from the very first email we exchanged, then phone-call, then engagement session, and on, they made us feel taken care of, heard, attended to, important. them for our upcoming June wedding. We just wrapped up the engagement shoot and it was phenomenal. Not only was it really fun (not to mention Michaela gives LOTS of compliments so you feel awesome!), but they were both relaxing to be around. It made the whole day stress-free. We also just received all of our photos from the day and I'm astounded. They are perfect. We woke up today and felt like it was Christmas morning! And Charlie, my fiance, and I are having an extremely difficult time picking our favorites. They are all so spectacular.
OH! And I should probably mention: the additional personal touches that they include throughout this whole process is SO cool. They send across little quizzes to help us decide on details AND lots of advice. I feel like I would have been extremely lost without them. 5 stars doesn't even justify this experience. I rate 10 stars :)

and agreed to be the photographers at her wedding. We had the wedding at the SummerHill Winery, Kelowna, BC.
The first thing Michaela did was sit down with my daughter and plan the day, and found out exactly what it was that was very important for her in regards to capturing the day.
Well, i think Michaela and Josh went above and beyond even my expectations.
First thing in the morning they both showed up at my house cameras in hand and took the dress, shoes and rings and went into my back yard and took the most amazing photos of the dress hanging on our fence, and then the rings on some rocks, shoes, brides maid dresses and of course my granddaughters dress. All i could think is " Wow, how beautiful those are". We did have a ruff start to the day, the clouds started rolling in and the clouds opened up and poured on us. Michaela and Josh kept my daughter calm and secure. They took pictures of all the attendees and then a lot of the family while we waited for the rain and Hail to stop. They had scouted out the property the day before and knew where the best photos would be taken.
When the photos were done, Michaela and Josh had put together the most amazing book that sat flat.
When and if any of my other children ever get married i will beg and plead for them to come back up to Canada to be the Photographers again in a heart beat. I was so impressed with their professionalism and very keen eye capturing the best out of everyone.
